A little company history

Keywise Security Cyf has a long history of providing professional, reliable and honest security services. In 1997, father and son Tom and Brenden Christy spotted a gap in the market and set up Celtic Security Limited. The business grew quickly — but the name had been chosen in haste. Tom was Irish and living in Wales, so “Celtic” seemed fitting at the time, though it never quite felt personal to the company they were building.

A few years later they rebranded to Christy Security for something more personal. It still didn’t feel quite right.

In 2017, Brenden went back to the drawing board — this time with the third generation, Connor Christy, on board, and Tom easing into a background role, more than he likes to admit.

Looking at what the business actually did day to day — keyholding, alarm response, mobile patrols, lock and unlock services, static guarding, reception security, void property checks and lone-worker monitoring — one thing stood out: nearly all of it comes down to being trusted with someone else’s keys. That’s when Keywise Security Cyf was born. “Cyf” is Welsh for “Ltd” — a nod to our first language.

The name says it plainly: be wise with your keys. Choose Keywise.

Our clients range from government bodies and local authorities to sole traders, and we give a sole trader’s premises the same care as a multimillion-pound site. Whatever security service you need, we bring the same expertise and attention.
