Keyholding and alarm response across North and Mid Wales
Let’s talk about professional keyholding and alarm response
Keyholding and alarm response services
What is keyholding?
We securely hold a set of your premises’ keys and respond to alarm activations on your behalf. We can also provide scheduled locking, unlocking and alarm-setting services.
Why use a professional keyholder?
Alarm activations can happen at any time, and the cause may not be clear until the premises have been checked. A professional keyholder provides a trained, SIA-licensed response, follows your agreed instructions and records the outcome. This avoids placing an employee in an unfamiliar out-of-hours situation.
Can I nominate a member of staff?
You can nominate an employee, but this can create practical difficulties when they are unavailable, on leave or live some distance from the site. Using Keywise provides a consistent response service without relying on one individual.
Reducing risk and responsibility
Using a trained, licensed and insured provider helps you manage your duty of care and maintain a clear, documented alarm-response procedure. It also gives employees, clients and insurers confidence that activations will be handled appropriately.
What about false alarms?
False alarms are common, but every activation still needs a consistent response. Our team attends, checks the agreed areas, resets and secures the premises where possible, and records the outcome. This avoids unnecessary disruption to your employees and can help identify recurring faults.
How does the service work?
We begin with a site survey so our team understands the premises and agreed response instructions. Your keys are sealed in a serial-numbered pouch, identified only by a unique reference and stored securely. Keys are audited quarterly, and our response vehicles are tracker-equipped.
Keywise Security Cyf can be nominated as your keyholder with your alarm receiving centre. Our mobile units provide alarm response throughout North and Mid Wales, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We contact clients out of hours only when there is a serious incident they need to know about; otherwise, we provide a report the following day.
In a nutshell
Professional keyholding reduces risk, protects your people and lets you sleep without being disturbed by routine alarm activations.
