Secure keyholding depends on strict key-management procedures. We take the protection, identification and auditing of every client key extremely seriously.

How we protect your keys

Secure storage

All client keys are secured in a locked safe and individually placed in tamper-evident, serial-numbered key pouches. The numbered seal allows us to record when a key was accessed and who used it.

Anonymous identification

Keys are never labelled with a building name or address. Each set is identified only by a unique reference number known to authorised personnel, and the identifying information is stored separately from the keys.

Regular audits

Every set of keys is audited quarterly, whether it has been used or not, and our key-management arrangements are independently audited annually.

What if a key were lost?

We have never lost a client’s key. In the unlikely event that it happened, we hold loss-of-keys insurance to put matters right. Our strict key-management system is designed to make that possibility extremely unlikely.

Audited
